Committed To Preserving Melbourne Beach: Why Your Vote Matters

September 15, 2025

In the heart of our community, a strong voice is emerging—one rooted in service, shaped by God and country, committed to accountability, and dedicated to the town he's called home for a lifetime. This isn't just another candidate; this is a neighbor, a husband, a father, and a decorated veteran who knows in his heart that true leadership begins with a deep commitment to the people you serve.

As a devoted husband of 36 years and a father of two daughters, his values are not just talking points—they are the foundation of his family and the principles that guide his public service. Bruce Larson has lived in Melbourne Beach since 1974 having attended Gemini Elementary, Hoover Junior High and Melbourne High Schools.  His commitment to service was forged in the crucible of military duty. As a decorated Navy SEAL veteran, he served our country with distinction on multiple combat and humanitarian deployments. This experience instilled in him the discipline, accountability, and integrity necessary to lead in even the most challenging situations. He understands that leadership means putting the mission first, and in this case, the mission is the well-being of Melbourne Beach residents.

Bruce’s transition from military service to civic leadership was seamless. He's been an engaged and effective leader, serving in Melbourne Beach as the Chairperson of the Technology Advisory Board and the Vice-Chair of the Charter Review Committee. He's also worked actively with the Town employees to produce a balanced budget, demonstrating his fiscal management skills and mentoring ability.

Bruce Larson is a true conservative with a proven record of fiscal discipline. He believes in restoring transparency, accountability, and financial sustainability to our town government, tirelessly working to eliminate waste and ensure every tax dollar is spent wisely. He has experience to back this up, having been appointed to high-level advisory committees for the Secretary of Homeland Security and the National Academies of Science.

Beyond budgets and boards, he is a champion for our environment and our quality of life. He serves as a member of the Brevard County Save Our Indian River Lagoon Citizens Oversight Committee, working to restore the vital waterway that is integral to our community.

He also stands firmly with the "Home Not Hotels" position, believing that vacation rentals degrade the quality of life for our residents. He even co-authored the current town vacation rental ordinances, and continues to advocate for strict enforcement to protect our neighborhoods.

His dedication to service extends to those who have served alongside him. He remains actively engaged with multiple veterans' support charities, continuing his lifelong commitment to fellow servicemembers and their families.

Bruce Larson is a testament to the power of unwavering commitment—to family, to community, and to country. He’s not a politician but a lifelong resident who wants to bring the same discipline, accountability, and integrity he has shown throughout his career to our local government.

On election day, your vote for Bruce Larson is a vote for proven leadership, fiscal sanity, and a steadfast dedication to a bright future in the Town of Melbourne Beach.
